Mothers are often called the backbone of the family, the glue that holds everything together. They are the ones who sacrifice their own needs for the sake of their children, and are always there to provide love, support, and protection. But there's one thing that a mother's love and protection can never be compared to an umbrella that never breaks.

I was reminded of this when I met a young girl at our shop who shared her heartfelt story with me. She told me that her father had passed away when her mother was just a few months pregnant with her. From that moment on, her mother became the sole breadwinner of the family. Despite the challenges and struggles, she raised her daughter with love and dedication.

As I looked into the eyes of this young girl, I could see the resilience and determination to make her mother proud. In today's digital age where negative influences are so easily accessible, it is rare to find someone who is mentally strong and has a strong sense of responsibility towards their family. The constant bombardment of drugs, alcohol, and other harmful influences on social media can easily sway young minds. But not this girl, for she has the unwavering support and guidance of her mother.

Mothers are the ultimate protectors, and this is especially evident during pregnancy. The umbilical cord that connects a mother to her unborn child is often referred to as the “umbilical cord of life”. But for this young girl, her mother's love and protection started even before she was born. The sacrifices and struggles that her mother went through during pregnancy were the foundation of their unbreakable bond.

Even though the young girl is now grown and capable of taking care of herself, she still sees her mother as her rock, her pillar of strength, and her umbrella on gloomy days. Her mother's love and protection continue to be her source of comfort and support, just like a sturdy umbrella that shields her from life's storms.

As we celebrate Mother's Day, it's important to remember that mothers are truly one of a kind. They possess a strength and resilience that surpasses any artificial materials or devices. No matter how advanced technology may become, it can never replace the warmth and protection of a mother's love.

So let's take a moment to appreciate and honor all the mothers out there.
